Looking for something fun to do this weekend? Here are some of the events happening around the Central Coast:

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 15

San Luis Obispo Heart & Stroke Walk 
8:30 a.m. – registration
9:30 a.m. – walk begins
Avila Beach Promenade, 404 Front St., Avila Beach
This 5K walk encourages healthy habits while raising funds to support the American Heart Association’s research and education efforts to fight heart disease and stroke. The event also includes a health expo, educational booths, kid’s zone, refreshments, and snacks.

Coastal Cleanup Day
9 a.m.-Noon
Various locations throughout San Luis Obispo County
Join EcoSlo and other volunteers at the annual Coastal Cleanup Day, picking up trash and debris at local beaches and waterways.

80’s Prom
6 p.m.
SLO Grange, 2880 Broad St., San Luis Obispo
Dress up in your best attire from the 1980s and dance the night away to the decade’s biggest hits. A prom king and queen will be crowned and a version of "The Dating Game" will be held for singles. Proceeds benefit RISE San Luis Obispo.

Inspired Home & Garden Expo
10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Alex Madonna Expo Center, 100 Madonna Rd., San Luis Obispo
Sit in on cooking demonstrations and home improvement seminars, meet with local home improvement experts and contractors, and shop the latest trends in home and garden design. Attendees can also enter to win a 12-piece professional platinum cooking system.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 16

Apples and Honey Festival
10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Mitchell Park, 1445 Santa Rosa St., San Luis Obispo
Browse amongst more than 50 local artisans and food vendors, plus apple games and crafts for the kids, a presentation with animals from the Charles Paddock Zoo, and story time with local children’s author Bonnie Lady Lee. This event celebrates the start of the Jewish new year.

CPAC Benefit: Poncho Sanchez and his Latin Jazz Band
3-6 p.m.
Cultural and Performing Arts Center, Cuesta College, Highway 1, San Luis Obispo
Grammy Award-winner Poncho Sanchez and his Latin Jazz Band headline this benefit for the Harold J. Miossi Cultural and Performing Arts Center. The event kicks off with a salsa dance lesson at 1:30 p.m. Cuban food will also be available, along with wine and beer.
