Calls to 911 by Verizon customers in San Luis Obispo County will not go through Friday morning.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office says Verizon is working to correct an "unidentified issue" with 911 service.
In case of an emergency, sheriff’s officials advise everyone to have their local fire department and law enforcement agency phone numbers written down.
The text to 911 service is still working for Verizon customers.
