KSBY’s Friday Night Highlights Week 5 ‘Game of the Week’ will be a smash mouth battle as Righetti (4-1) hosts Dos Pueblos (3-1).

Through five games this season, Righetti is averaging 43.4 points per game, and that includes a blowout victory over Soledad last Friday night, 42-12.

Righetti and Dos Pueblos played each other a season ago, and it was the Chargers coming away with the 24-0 shutout.

A win over Dos Pueblos this time around could give the Warriors plenty of momentum heading into league play, which begins on Friday, September 28.

"We certainly want to use this game to get ready for league," Righetti head coach Tony Payne said. "Our goal is to win the Mountain League. It’s our first year in the league, and we’d love to pull that off. We want to see where we’re at. This is the real deal right here. I think Dos Pueblos is the best team we have to play so far."

"This is a really big game for us because we need it for momentum heading into league," Righetti senior lineman Caleb Thomas added. "It could start a steam roll for us, everything could start snowballing, and we can work our way into league with a good victory."

Righetti and Dos Pueblos are set to kickoff at 7 P.M. on Friday night at Righetti High School.
