The driver of a tractor-trailer that crashed between Highway 1 and State Route 135 self-extricated himself before crews arrived to the scene Saturday morning.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department said the accident happened around 2:44 a.m. near the “Y split” south of Orcutt on Highway 1 and State Route 135.
Public information officer Mike Eliason said when crews arrived to the crash the driver had already taken himself out of the vehicle.
Eliason said the driver declined any medical treatment and was the only person involved in the crash.
