Santa Maria Police arrested a juvenile on Sunday after the teen allegedly posted threats towards Pioneer Valley High School on social media.

Detectives found out about the social media threat on Sunday, two weeks after the post was made.

The teenage boy is a Santa Maria resident who admitted posting the threat to social media, officers say. He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Juvenile Hall and charged with making criminal threats.

There is currently no threat to student safety, police say.
