The Senate Judiciary Committee will vote on Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination to the full Senate this afternoon on the East Coast.
KSBY will carry live coverage, on air and online, of the committee vote at 10:30 a.m. PST.
Friday morning, several Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee, including Kamala Harris of California, walked out of a hearing on Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the high court.
The GOP chairman set a vote on the nomination for 1:30 p.m. EST Friday.
That was approved by a committee vote. Democrats say Republicans are rushing the confirmation and are urging for a formal FBI investigation of the allegations against Kavanaugh.
Arizona senator and Republican Jeff Flake says he will vote yes on Kavanaugh, signaling the judge will be nominated by the committee and go to the full Senate.
The Senate could begin taking procedural votes over the weekend ahead of a final confirmation vote early next week.
