Santa Barbara city council members are considering putting more limits on alcohol licenses for bars and restaurants.

At Tuesday afternoon’s council meeting, members will look at several proposed changes to existing laws.

Some council members have expressed concern about restaurants that stop serving food at midnight and effectively turn into bars thereafter.

One proposed idea is to restrict “last call” to midnight for future alcohol licenses.

The city council will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
