PG&E crews are being credited with helping put out a fire that broke out near a Nipomo home Friday afternoon.

It reportedly started at around 3 p.m. on the 100 block of N. Mallegh St.

CAL Fire says arcing power lines sparked the blaze in trees near the front of the home.

PG&E crews were able to use their bucket truck to get above the flames and put water on top of the trees, CAL FIRE said.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters say some of the trees, part of a fence and an awning burned.
