Drivers looking to take a break along Highway 101 near Gaviota will have to bypass the rest stop there Tuesday morning.
Caltrans officials notified drivers via Twitter that the Gaviota rest area is closed after a sewer line broke nearby.
Traffic Alert: the Gaviota Rest Area along #Hwy101 @countyofsb is CLOSED due to sewer line break.

Details about the sewer line break have not yet been released.
Caltrans has not said when the rest stop will reopen.
