The Santa Maria Lowe’s donated $2,500 to La Casa De Flores, which gives local veterans a place to stay.
La Casa De Flores promotes sobriety, recovery and stability through its in-house program. It has historically been able to house eight veterans. With the Lowe’s donation, staff will be able to build a second floor to expand that number to 12.
“This is the first time we’ve really sought out that community help and because everything we do is so private, this is really groundbreaking for us,” said Steven Baird, Operational Director of La Casa De Flores.
