Meadow Park in San Luis Obispo was turned into a haunted land on Friday night as families came together for the annual Boo Bash.

Neighbors were invited to watch “Curious George: A Boo Fest” at the family-friendly costume party. Kids were also entertained with games, snacks, and a haunted house.

The San Luis Obispo Parks and Recreation Department organized the event, which is in its fifth year. Staff took in on the fun with recreation specialist Kelsey Hitchen dressed as Leslie Knope from NBC’s “Parks and Recreation.”

Boo Bash also featured food trucks and an obstacle course from Central Coast Gymnastics.

Those attending were asked to bring a food donation for the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County.
