Students at the Abel Maldonado Center in Santa Maria competed in a pumpkin carving contest Tuesday night.
The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department hosted the “Teen Pumpkin Carving Contest” at the Abel Maldonado Youth Center in Santa Maria.
Seven students competed for the best traditional, unique and spooky designs.
Judges gave out three awards with movie passes to local theaters.
