No injuries were reported after a concrete mixer trailer overturned on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara Wednesday morning.
The CHP says the driver of a Toyota Tacoma was pulling the concrete mixer trailer around 9 a.m. Wednesday. CHP says the trailer was beyond the truck’s towing capacity, and it overturned and landed in two lanes of Highway 101, just north of Garden Street.
Cement spilled out of the trailer and blocked lanes. The CHP issued a Sig-Alert after the accident, and the #2 and #3 lanes were closed for about three hours.
CHP says the driver of the Toyota, who is a Santa Barbara resident, was not injured and was not driving under the influence.
