A fire shut down a portion of Highway 1 near Big Sur Friday night.
According to NBC affiliate KSBW, the call came in around 9:30 p.m. along Highway 1 near the Ventana Inn.
CHP says CAL FIRE told officers that the fire burned about 3 to 5 acres, but that crews had gotten it under control.
All lanes of Highway 1 reopened around 11:30 p.m.
