Days after a humpback whale washed ashore in Oceano, California State Parks staff buried it at the Oceano Dunes.
Crews were seen digging a massive hole for the whale and then burying it Tuesday.

The whale washed ashore last Thursday covered in shark bites, although researchers are still trying to determine whether sharks were the cause of its death.
Researchers took samples of the whale over the weekend and hope to get test results back in a few weeks.
This isn’t the first time a whale has been buried in the area after washing ashore. In September, the carcass of a young humpback whale was buried 20 feet under the sand.
