Caltrans closed a portion of Highway 1 near Big Sur overnight Wednesday because of rock slide potential.
Crews said slide activity is being reported between Ragged Point to Deetjens because of the storm system hitting California.
Caltrans is expected to provide an update to the roadway Thursday morning.
