Santa Barbara County firefighters are responding to multiple reports of wires down as rain and wind hit the region.
The department says there was a short hail storm followed by lightning Thursday afternoon off Highway 154 near Santa Barbara.
Video captured the loud hail as it was falling.

Firefighters reported seeing multiple electrical transformers arcing.
They say anyone who sees a downed power line or wire should call 911 and stay away from the wire.
