This year marks Santa Barbara County Animal Services’ third annual Santa Slumber Party.
Through the program, community members can take pets home from the shelter for a four-day foster period from December 22 through December 26. This is for residents who will be home for the holiday season and won’t have to leave the pet alone in the house for long periods of time.
Oftentimes adoptions happen following the Slumber Party.
“If the foster does choose to adopt at the end of the fostering period, then we do offer a discount in order to make that happen,” said Community Outreach Coordinator Stacy Silva.
Applications are now being accepted at all three shelter locations.
