Applications are being accepted for a new public art installation in San Luis Obispo.
Unlock 2019 features 32 artists. Each artist picks an inspirational word and creates a piece of art which will be placed in one of the 32 lockers on display. Each day, a locker will be opened.
The idea is to share how artists can make the world a better place through actions and intentions.
Artists are free to represent any word they want through 2D and 3D art.
A video discussing the art will be posted on the Unlock2019 Facebook page. Community members can view and engage with the art December 31 through February 1.
The event will take place at Dwellinart, located at 207 Higuera Street.
Proceeds will go to the artists and Arts Obispo.
Applications are being accepted through December 21.
