The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office says it recovered stolen silver bars and coins that were estimated to be worth more than a quarter million dollars.

The Sheriff’s Office received a burglary report from a man in Paso Robles on November 24. He said the valuables had been taken from his home.

Detectives identified a female suspect during an investigation. They say the suspect knew the victim, and they believe she had access to the area where the silver was stored.

On Monday, detectives served a search warrant at the suspect’s house in Paso Robles and determined another location for where the stolen property was stored. They recovered the stolen silver and returned it to the owner.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Sheriff’s Office is sending the case to the District Attorney’s office and recommending a burglary charge.
