One killed, three injured after car strikes pedestrians

One person has died and three were injured after a car crashed into a group of pedestrians in Lompoc Friday night.

Police said at approximately 5:10 p.m., a vehicle struck four people in the 300 block of West Cypress Avenue.

Three people were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries. The fourth was taken to a separate hospital and later died.

Police have not confirmed if their injuries were related to the collision.

The driver was contacted after the crash. Police said they do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
