After a fire forced Templeton’s Wellness Kitchen to close in October, the non-profit is once again serving healthy meals to people who are sick or struggling financially.

The Wellness Kitchen posted a press release on its website stating that it had resumed its weekly therapeutic nutrition program Dec. 3.

The facility closed Oct. 21 after a fire in a different part of the building shared with Wellness Kitchen.

The storefront remains closed, but the non-profit is now able to serve people through a weekly pre-order service.

The cause of the fire has not been released.

The Atascadero Bible Church in Atascadero is lending Wellness Kitchen its commercial kitchen and Fig at Courtney’s House in Templeton is being utilized as a distribution location, according to the
press release.

The kitchen prepared about 13,000 meals last year, serving about 50 or so regular customers who rely on the Wellness Kitchen for healthy meals.

A full list of times and locations for meal services can be found on the Wellness Kitchen website.
