The Arroyo Grande City Council is planning to fill a seat that was vacated following the election of councilmember Caren Ray as mayor.
The city is now accepting applications for an appointment onto city council. The term will last through December 2020.
Applications are available online and at Arroyo Grande City Hall on 300 E. Branch Street. To qualify, applicants must be at least 18, a resident of Arroyo Grande and registered to vote in the city. Applications must be signed and delivered to the city clerk’s office by December 20 at 5 p.m.
The City Council plans to appoint a new councilmember at the regular meeting on January 8 at 6 p.m.
