Santa Maria police are investigating an armed robbery.
It happened around 5:40 p.m. Friday at a business in the 300 block of South Blosser Road.
Police say a man in a mask went into the business, showed a handgun, and demanded money from the register while holding the clerk at gunpoint.
The suspect got away with a large amount of cash and ran away from the scene.
Police released a surveillance photo from the robbery.

Officers say the robber is described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic male, in his early twenties, 5’5″ tall with a medium build.
