A pedestrian was hospitalized Friday evening after they were struck by a vehicle in Santa Maria.
Santa Maria police say the accident happened around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of E. Newlove Drive and South Broadway, in front of McDonald’s.
Police say the pedestrian was hospitalized but is expected to survive.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, and police did not release any information about the person who was injured.
Officers say the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
