A new cookie delivery service is now in business in San Luis Obispo.

Insomnia Cookies opened Monday at 22 Chorro Street in San Luis Obispo.

A University of Pennsylvania student founded the company in 2003 in his college dorm room. Now, there are more than 100 locations across the country.

The business sells cookies, brownies, cookie cakes, ice cream, and cold milk. Customers can have items delivered or visit the storefront.

KSBY caught up with some satisfied customers on Tuesday night.

“Sometimes you just need something super unhealthy to make you feel good,” said Christina La Vine.

“Being a student and trying to do your best and eat the best, sometimes you just need a break, and this cookie and ice cream is a perfect way to branch out,” said Liesel Koehler.

The San Luis Obispo store is one of just four locations in California.

It’s open from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m.
