UPDATE (2/8/19) – Colonial Motel General Manager Kevin O’Neal says the crash happened as a driver rear-ended another vehicle that was turning into the motel’s parking lot.
He says the motel will stay open during repairs.
UPDATE (6:20 p.m.) – Police say there are no reports of injuries after a vehicle crashed into a motel Thursday evening.
Firefighters, police, and AMR are all on the scene.
Police say traffic is backed up in the area.
ORIGINAL STORY – Santa Maria police are investigating after a vehicle crashed into a motel.
Police tweeted photos from the scene around 6 p.m. Thursday.
The photos appear to show the Colonial Motel, which is located in the 1800 block of S. Broadway. The photos also show two vehicles were involved in the crash, though just one went into the motel.
Police said the injuries are unknown.
