Firefighters battled a single-family house fire Tuesday morning.
It happened in the 800 block of Dahlia Place around 7:35 a.m.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says smoke was seen from the home.
When firefighters arrived, they found a fire in the back bedroom. Fire officials say there was some minor smoke damage to the rest of the home.
The single occupant of the home made it out safely along with his two cats and two dogs.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
