The San Luis Obispo Fire Safe Council has awarded Atascadero Fire and Emergency Services money for hazardous fuel reduction efforts.
The fire department is offering a chipping program for people living in the high to very high fire severity zones within city limits.
To qualify for chipping, people must register by March 8th. You can email chippingprogram@ataqscadero.org to register.
Chipping will begin March 18.
