A locally-made wine is headed to New York to be poured as the official wine on all tables at the 34th annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Castoro Cellars says it is proud to be serving its wine at the major music-industry event.

The Templeton-based winery is known for mixing wine with music. It hosts one of the Central Coast’s largest music events, the Whale Rock Music & Arts Festival. Whale Rock will be held Sept. 14-15.

The winery says its wine will pair well with the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, where artists including Def Leppard, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nick, The Cure, and Radiohead will be celebrated.

“I think they are going to have a fine time at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame drinking our wine, and we’ll enjoy seeing it on the tables,” said Castoro Cellars co-founder, Niels Udsen.

The induction ceremony will take place on March 29 in Brooklyn, NY.
