A public outreach meeting is scheduled Thursday to discuss a traffic study at an intersection where a Cal Poly student was killed in October.
Jordan Grant, 18, was killed in a crash while riding his motorcycle through the El Campo intersection in Arroyo Grande.
Since the deadly accident, the Grant family and others in the community have been pushing for changes at the location where El Campo crosses Highway 101.
On Thursday, the San Luis Obispo County Council of Governments will explain the results of a traffic study, which focused on Highway 101 intersections between Traffic Way and Los Berros Road.
In the next phase, the council will prepare a more in-depth study and propose improvements.
Thursday’s meeting is open to the public. It runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Arroyo Grande Hospital Annex Conference Room, located at 345 South Halcyon Road.
