A mountain lion cub has a new home at a Southern California wildlife rehabilitation center after being found alone in the Lompoc Valley.

Santa Barbara County Animals Services said in a Facebook post that the cub was spotted abandoned and alone in the Lompoc area.

The cub’s mother was not spotted over the course of the next 24 hours. At that point, Santa Barbara County Animal Services rescued the cub and transferred it to a wildlife rehab center in Southern California.
