CHP Officers in Santa Barbara received a call about some loose alpacas exploring Hope Ranch on Sunday.
Santa Barbara County Animal Services knew that if you catch one alpaca, the rest will follow because they are pack animals.
CHP Officer Youngblood and animal control successfully placed a rope around one alpaca and two of its companions followed along as the group walked towards ranch properties.

The alpacas, unhurt, were soon returned to the owner.
