After cold front passed last night into this morning high pressure is trying to build in, this difference in pressure is driving the winds today. NW winds 20-30mph have the potential to gust up to 65mph in the Santa Barbara county mountains where a high wind warning is in place until 3am. There is also a wind advisory for the nearby Southcoast until 3am for 20-30mph winds with gusts to 50mph. For the Central Coast of SLO and SB counties there is a wind advisory until 8pm for 20-30mph winds with gusts to 35mph. And the SLO county interior has an advisory for gusts up to 45mph thru 3am.

Coastal winds will weaken after sunset but return again tomorrow but perhaps not quite as strong, still advisories may be needed for Wednesday.
Wednesday the winds will be back.. maybe not quite as strong but 15-25mph with gusts to 35mph seems like a good range for most.

Another weak frontal passage takes place later Thursday which will keep winds up into Friday but some offshore winds are possible Saturday for clearing and slightly warmer temperatures. Onshore strong winds return Sunday into the middle of next week and we should see the reutrn of marine low clouds at times when those winds slacken in the night and morning hours.
