Need a new car seat? Target’s trade-in event is back

Posted

Target’s popular Car Seat Trade-in event is back.

From Monday, April 22 through Saturday, May 4, parents can bring their old car seats to participating Target stores in exchange for a 20 percent off coupon for a new car seat.

The coupons will be good through May 11, 2019, and can also be used to purchase a car seat base, travel system, stroller or other baby gear, like playards, high chairs, swings, rockers, and bouncers. They can be used in-store or online.

Target says the old car seats will be recycled.

On the Central Coast, the stores in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles are participating in the program.

Target says since starting its trade-in program in 2016, it has recycled a half-million car seats.

Visit the Target website for more information and to find a participating store near you.
