Mothers and their sons enjoyed a fun-filled evening in Grover Beach Friday for the 18th annual Mother-Son Dance.
Nearly 90 moms and their sons enjoyed games, dinner, and dancing at the “Jurassic Adventure” themed dance.
The event was held at the Grover Beach Community Center.
Moms and their sons say it’s a great time to get away and have an early Mother’s Day celebration.
“He can get to know his mom more,” said Denver Freitas, who attended the dance and was asked why other boys should attend.
“It’s just a good way to get away to have some one-on-one time if you have multiple kids and make them feel special,” said his mom.
The Grover Beach Parks and Recreation Department holds the dance every year near Mother’s Day weekend.
