Santa Maria police seized 85 grams of cocaine, drug scales, drug packaging material, and more than $116,000 in cash during a narcotics investigation.
The police department said Saturday that officers from the Santa Maria Police Department Special Enforcement Team had conducted a narcotics investigation, which led to a traffic stop and a search warrant being served in the 300 block of South Western Street in Santa Maria.

Officers arrested Jose Andres Morales Madrid, 31, on suspicion of possession of cocaine for sale and transportation of cocaine.
Police say the $116,000 in cash was seized pending asset forfeiture.
Madrid was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail.
