Memorial Day Weekend marks the unofficial start of summer for many, and families on the Central Coast took advantage of the long weekend.
People waited in line to get into the Aquatic Center in Lompoc Monday.
About 30 people were waiting to get into the pool around 1 p.m. Monday afternoon when KSBY went by.
Kids and parents were able to enjoy the water together.
“It’s so awesome. I wish that we had something like this out where we live because my other two are out there and having a total blast,” said Monique Ruiz, who was visiting from Japan.
The city had tweeted earlier this month, inviting people to enjoy the pool for a Memorial Weekend Recreation Swim.
