One person was taken into custody for stealing a vehicle Friday.
The CHP says the San Luis Obispo County Auto Theft Task Force received a call from someone who said their red Toyota Camry had been stolen. The victim told the task force that their vehicle would be in the vicinity of the Madonna Plaza Shopping Center in San Luis Obispo.
Task force members patrolling the area ended up locating the vehicle shortly after 1 p.m.
Investigators say one person was inside when they stopped the vehicle.
That person, who was not identified, was taken into custody without incident.
Investigators didn’t have information on where the vehicle was stolen from or the circumstances surrounding the theft.
