Firefighters are mopping up a small fire that sparked Monday morning in the Sisquoc area, east of Santa Maria.
Santa Barbara County Fire Department spokesperson Daniel Bertucelli says the fire started at about 6 a.m. at Foxen Canyon Rd. and Tepusquet Rd.
The fire burned about a half-acre before crews stopped forward progress of the flames.
No structures were threatened.
Investigators are now looking into what started the brush fire.
