Posted

Another SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled to launch out of Vandenberg Air Force Base next week.

An exact date and time for the launch have not been set.

The rocket is carrying the RADARSAT Constellation Mission from Space Launch Complex-4.

The RADARSAT Constellation Mission is a project of the Canadian Space Agency and will deliver three Earth observation satellites into orbit.

They’ll be used for maritime surveillance, disaster management, and ecosystem monitoring, according to the Canadian Space Agency.

The public can view this launch from Hawk’s Nest on Azalea Lane off of Highway 1, just over a mile south of Vandenberg AFB’s main gate.

The roadblock that is usually on 13th Street and Ocean Avenue will be relocated to Floradale Avenue and Ocean Avenue. A secondary roadblock will be at Floradale Avenue and Central Avenue.

Vandenberg AFB is partnering with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office and the Lompoc Police Department to ensure public safety during the launch.
