The Lompoc Wendy’s will celebrate its grand reopening Saturday, and some customers could score free food for a year.
The location at 1102 N. H Street was recently remodeled. The dining room reopened on Thursday, but the official reopening celebration will be held Saturday. Before the remodel, just the drive-thru was open at the location.
The first 100 customers in line Saturday will receive a punch card to get a free premium sandwich or entrée salad once a week for a year with any purchase.
If you’re not one of the first 100 people in line, you can still get a free small Frosty with any purchase all day Saturday.
The store will open at 10 a.m.
At 9 a.m., the Lompoc High School band will perform. Customers can also take a photo with Wendy, as well as a lifesized Frosty.
The store is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday.
A spokesperson says when a similar offer has been available at other Wendy’s locations, customers have lined up around closing time the night before. They also expect more people to show up as early as 5 to 6 in the morning.
