June gloom will continue Monday as marine layer and fog could linger along the coast through the early afternoon. As a result, afternoon temperatures at the beaches will stay close to the mid-60s.
While the fog will blanket the coastal valleys throughout the morning, afternoon clearing is in the forecast, which will bring temperatures up to the low to mid-70s. High pressure will still cause the interior valleys to be on the warmer side with temperatures from the upper 80s to low 90s.
It will be a breezy day for the coastal and interior valleys, as onshore winds will range from 10-25 miles per hour by the afternoon. Gusty winds will continue to be a factor in the forecast heading into the rest of the week, but so far, no advisories have been issued.
