Forty dogs have been rescued by the CCSPCA after officers said they were found in deplorable conditions inside a Fresno home.

On Friday, deputies with Fresno County Sheriff’s Office requested the non-profit’s assistance after discovering the home in the Mayfair district of Fresno. After executing a warrant, they found the conditions inside to be “littered with trash and animal feces.”

The CCSPCA added that the animals rescued were in good health, but many will require treatment for various skin conditions.

The CCSPCA is continuing to accept donations online to support its work helping vulnerable animals.
