SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KERO) — California officials have unveiled a new database aimed at helping policymakers better understand and address the issue of homelessness.

Officials say this is the first time the information is being collected at the state level. The information was collected from regional organizations that help the homeless.

Officials say with the data they'll be able to track what services are being offered, whose being offered them, and what's the most effective.
