California Pizza Kitchen is holding a "Pizza with a Purpose" fundraiser Tuesday, Aug. 27 at all California locations to honor California Highway Patrol Officer Andre Moye, Jr., who was killed during a routine traffic stop Aug. 12.

Twenty percent of all proceeds from sales will go directly to a fund created in the fallen officer's memory. The full amount will be donated to the family of Officer Andre Moye, Jr.

CPK customers can contribute by mentioning the fundraiser at checkout, showing a flyer on the restaurant chain's social media or presenting a printed version of the flyer.

At around 5:30 p.m. Aug. 12, Moye stopped the driver of a white GMC pickup truck off the 215 Freeway in Riverside. Moye reportedly decided to impound the truck and called for a tow truck.

While Moye was completing paperwork, the driver of the vehicle shot and killed Moye using a rifle the driver kept in his truck.

Despite being shot, Moye was able to call for help.

Authorities say three CHP officers, three Riverside County Sheriff's Department deputies and at least one officer from Riverside Police Department came to the scene shortly after Moye radioed for assistance.

If you cannot attend the fundraiser Tuesday but still wish to donate to the memorial fund, you can visit the website of the fund and donate online.
