The California State Parks Foundation is now accepting submissions for its 2026 Photo Contest.
Take a picture at one of California's 280 state parks and submit it online at CalParks.org.
You can enter up to three photos in each of the following five categories:
- Scenic Landscapes: Natural beauty across all seasons
- Wildlife & Nature: Flora, fauna, and ecosystems
- Recreation & Activities: Hiking, surfing, camping, etc.
- People in Parks: Enjoying parks responsibly and sustainably
- California History: Cultural and historic sites in parks
Winners will receive a free membership to the California State Parks Foundation and will be featured in the Foundation's 2028 calendar.
It's free to enter. Submissions will be accepted through September 21.
