A suspect is in custody after a hit-and-run wreck killed two horses and injured their riders.
The incident occurred Friday night in the Lake View Terrace neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Police say a vehicle collided with two horses, knocking their riders off. The suspect left the vehicle and ran away.
The two horses died at the scene. One rider had a fractured ankle and the other had a fractured leg.
Police say the suspect will be charged with a felony hit and run.
