Cal Poly announced Tuesday the decision to hold their annual summer orientation "SLO Days" online, as the university's status of fall quarter is still undetermined.

SLO Days is part one of the mandatory two part orientation series for freshman and transfer students at Cal Poly. It is typically a two-day, overnight experience for students and their supporters to be introduced to the college, meet other students and supports, and prepare for life at Cal Poly.

The second orientation, "Week of Welcome," or "WOW," is a week-long event in the fall. This year, it will be happening in a hybrid model - partially in person and partially virtual.

Dates for SLO Days were shifted into the latter part of Cal Poly's summer session, in a previous effort to continue them in person.

Details on the SLO Days schedule and presentations will be announced to students who have registered, as their orientation date approaches.

Registration for SLO Days can be accessed through the Cal Poly Portal under "Orientation Events." The registration deadline for early bird rates ends June 1.
