11 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Santa Barbara County

Coronavirus-confirmed healthcare workers can return to work without being testing negative

Santa Barbara County reported eleven new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the county's total to 496 confirmed cases as of April 30.

Health officials say 33 people are hospitalized, including 12 patients who are in the ICU.

Another 75 people are recovering at home and 376 people have fully recovered.

Santa Barbara County has had eight deaths from COVID-19.

Five of the new cases are in Santa Maria and five are in the Lompoc area. That includes an inmate at the federal prison in Lompoc. The eleventh new case is in the Montecito/Summerland/Carpinteria area.
